The Agro-Industrial Union ALEV

Joint Stock Company ALEV was formed on September 23, 1994

In the year 2000, the Butter-and-Cheese Making Plant “Koshkinsky” joined the Agro-Industrial Union ALEV. At that time, the plant was producing 600 tons a year with only 63 employees, and its product range consisted of just two items. The enterprise was on the verge of bankruptcy. Today, the plant manufactures more than 4500 tons of produce annually, its staff consists of 270 people and it puts on the market 34 product items that are known throughout the region and far beyond its borders.

The Milk Processing Plant “Zavolzhsky” has been functioning as part of ALEV since 2005. It is a new enterprise with great potential. The total volume of produce manufactured by the plant constitutes 800 tons monthly. The feedstock is supplied by farms of Ulyanovsk and Samara Regions and the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Zavolzhsky Milk Processing Plant exploits unique equipment manufactured by the British company APV, for producing baby food under the (“My baby”) brand “Moya krokha”.

It also has a special drying section supplied with up-to-date foreign equipment for producing dried milk and protein mixes for food industry.

Bearing in mind the consumers’ growing interest in their health, the Agro-Industrial Union ALEV began the launch of new products based on soya vegetable protein under the trademarks «Albela» and Inochi. The production was preceded by serious preparatory work including: the purchase of new foreign equipment, the selection of the best feedstock suppliers, and the development of formulas. In the process of preparing for production, we carried out a study of the experience gained by leading international companies in this particular field. Besides, the specialists from ALEV visited enterprises in Belgium, France, Germany, Japan, Korea and China.

Today the list of products made by the plant from soya includes soya milk, soya curd, soya yoghurt, dry protein concentrates and mayonnaise. Since 2005 it has been producing soya cheese Sholkovy tofu (“Silk tofu”). ALEV’s western business partners consider it a very attractive idea to organize manufacturing of soya products in this particular region.

The line of enriched milk products - “Albio” - which was developed within the framework of the national project Healthy Food at the Yaroslav State Experimental Cheese and Milk Products Laboratory, also gives evidence of the care that ALEV takes of its customers.

The high quality of ALEV’s products is confirmed by numerous medals and diplomas from Russian and foreign competitions and exhibitions.

The raw feedstock and products undergo careful inspection and analysis in the company’s own laboratory accredited by the State Standards Department of Russia.

The specialists of the enterprise always have an opportunity to improve their qualifications by attending various seminars and courses.

The produce of the enterprise is available in many parts of Russia through a dealership network which supplies Moscow, Ryazan, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kazan, Cheboksary, Ulyanovsk, Togliatti, Samara, Orenburg, Ioshkar-Ola, Kurgan, Perm, Izhevsk, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, Alma-Ata and many other towns and cities.

The company works closely with dairy enterprises in Belgium, Holland, Poland, Hungary, Korea and Japan.
